Nano-engineered Surfaces for Thermal Research

Condensation and evaporation, two ubiquitous phase-change processes, are essential natural phenomena that have been widely used in various thermal industries. Enhancement of condensation and evaporation heat and mass transfer by surface engineering and interfacial science effectively promise considerable savings in energy and natural resources for applications including water harvesting, desalination, industrial power generation, heating and cooling of buildings, energy conversion, and thermal management.
